Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Iqrayah is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

Iqrayah is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working to close the remaining gaps.

What we do well

  • Semantic HTML — content is structured with <main>, <header>, <footer>, <nav>, and <article> landmarks.
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive controls are reachable and operable via keyboard alone.
  • Colour contrast — foreground/background pairings meet the WCAG AA ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components in both light and dark modes.
  • Focus indicators — visible focus rings are present on all interactive elements.
  • Reduced motion — animations respect prefers-reduced-motion.
  • RTL support — Arabic text and bidirectional content use correct dir attributes and logical CSS properties.
  • Touch targets — all interactive elements are at least 44×44 px.
  • ARIA labels — landmarks, dialogs, and dynamic regions carry descriptive aria-label or aria-labelledby attributes.

Known limitations

  • Formal WCAG 2.2 audit has not yet been completed by a third party. A professional audit is planned for a future release.
  • Arabic script readability at very small font sizes on low-resolution displays has not been fully tested with assistive technology.
