- Surah An-Nur · 4And those who accuse honourable women but bring not four witnesses, scourge them (with) eighty stripes and never (afterward) accept their testimony - They indeed are evil-doers -
- Surah An-Nur · 5Save those who afterward repent and make amends. (For such) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah An-Nur · 6As for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing) by Allah that he is of those who speak the truth;
- Surah An-Nur · 7And yet a fifth, invoking the curse of Allah on him if he is of those who lie.
- Surah An-Nur · 8And it shall avert the punishment from her if she bear witness before Allah four times that the thing he saith is indeed false,
- Surah An-Nur · 9And a fifth (time) that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he speaketh truth.
- Surah An-Nur · 10And had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, and that Allah is Clement, Wise, (ye had been undone).
- Surah An-Nur · 11Lo! they who spread the slander are a gang among you. Deem it not a bad thing for you; nay, it is good for you. Unto every man of them (will be paid) that which he hath earned of the sin; and as for him among them who had the greater share therein, his will be an awful doom.
- Surah An-Nur · 12Why did not the believers, men and women, when ye heard it, think good of their own own folk, and say: It is a manifest untruth?
- Surah An-Nur · 13Why did they not produce four witnesses? Since they produce not witnesses, they verily are liars in the sight of Allah.
- Surah An-Nur · 14Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you in the world and the Hereafter an awful doom had overtaken you for that whereof ye murmured.
- Surah An-Nur · 35Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. Allah guideth unto His light whom He will. And Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is Knower of all things.

- Surah Al-Furqan · 3Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 4Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 5And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 6Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 7And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 8Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched.
- Surah Al-Furqan · 9See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road!
- Surah Al-Furqan · 10Blessed is He Who, if He will, will assign thee better than (all) that - Gardens underneath which rivers flow - and will assign thee mansions.

- Surah Al-Furqan · 13And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there.

- Surah Ash-Shuara · 3It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 4If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 5Never cometh there unto them a fresh reminder from the Beneficent One, but they turn away from it.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 6Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 7Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein?
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 8Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 9And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 10And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk,

- Surah Ash-Shuara · 12He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me,
- Surah Ash-Shuara · 13And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me).

- Surah An-Naml · 5Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.
- Surah An-Naml · 6Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the Qur'an from the presence of One Wise, Aware.
- Surah An-Naml · 7(Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves.

- Surah An-Naml · 9O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.

- Surah An-Naml · 13But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic,
- Surah An-Naml · 14And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers!

- Surah Al-Qasas · 5And We desired to show favour unto those who were oppressed in the earth, and to make them examples and to make them the inheritors,
- Surah Al-Qasas · 6And to establish them in the earth, and to show Pharaoh and Haman and their hosts that which they feared from them.
- Surah Al-Qasas · 7And We inspired the mother of Moses, saying: Suckle him and, when thou fearest for him, then cast him into the river and fear not nor grieve. Lo! We shall bring him back unto thee and shall make him (one) of Our messengers.

- Surah Al-Qasas · 12And We had before forbidden foster-mothers for him, so she said: Shall I show you a household who will rear him for you and take care of him?

- Surah Al-Ankabut · 2Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction?
- Surah Al-Ankabut · 3Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign.
- Surah Al-Ankabut · 4Or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip Us? Evil (for them) is that which they decide.
- Surah Al-Ankabut · 5Whoso looketh forward to the meeting with Allah (let him know that) Allah's reckoning is surely nigh, and He is the Hearer, the Knower.

- Surah Ar-Rum · 9Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves.
- Surah Ar-Rum · 10Then evil was the consequence to those who dealt in evil, because they denied the revelations of Allah and made a mock of them.

- Surah Ya Sin · 2By the wise Qur'an,
- Surah Ya Sin · 3Lo! thou art of those sent
- Surah Ya Sin · 4On a straight path,
- Surah Ya Sin · 5A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful,
- Surah Ya Sin · 6That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless.
- Surah Ya Sin · 7Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not.
- Surah Ya Sin · 8Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked.
- Surah Ya Sin · 9And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not.
- Surah Ya Sin · 10Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not.
- Surah Ya Sin · 11Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward.
- Surah Ya Sin · 12Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register.
- Surah Ya Sin · 13Coin for them a similitude: The people of the city when those sent (from Allah) came unto them;
- Surah Ya Sin · 14When We sent unto them twain, and they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: Lo! we have been sent unto you.
- Surah Ya Sin · 36Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!
- Surah As-Saffat · 1By those who set the ranks in battle order
- Surah As-Saffat · 2And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof
- Surah As-Saffat · 3And those who read (the Word) for a reminder,
- Surah As-Saffat · 4Lo! thy Lord is surely One;
- Surah As-Saffat · 5Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings.
- Surah As-Saffat · 6Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;
- Surah As-Saffat · 7With security from every froward devil.
- Surah As-Saffat · 8They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side,
- Surah As-Saffat · 9Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment;
- Surah As-Saffat · 10Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.
- Surah As-Saffat · 11Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.
- Surah As-Saffat · 12Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock
- Surah As-Saffat · 13And heed not when they are reminded,
- Surah As-Saffat · 14And seek to scoff when they behold a portent.
- Surah As-Saffat · 180Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)
- Surah Sad · 1Sad. By the renowned Qur'an,
- Surah Sad · 2Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism.
- Surah Sad · 3How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape!
- Surah Sad · 4And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan.
- Surah Sad · 5Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing.
- Surah Sad · 6The chiefs among them go about, exhorting: Go and be staunch to your gods! Lo! this is a thing designed.
- Surah Sad · 7We have not heard of this in later religion. This is naught but an invention.
- Surah Sad · 8Hath the reminder been unto him (alone) among us? Nay, but they are in doubt concerning My reminder; nay but they have not yet tasted My doom.
- Surah Sad · 9Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower?
- Surah Sad · 10Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by ropes!
- Surah Sad · 11A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there.
- Surah Sad · 12The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted,
- Surah Sad · 13And (the tribe of) Thamud, and the folk of Lot, and the dwellers in the wood: these were the factions.
- Surah Sad · 14Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified,
- Surah Sad · 29(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 1The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 2Lo! We have revealed the Scripture unto thee (Muhammad) with truth; so worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only).
- Surah Az-Zumar · 3Surely pure religion is for Allah only. And those who choose protecting friends beside Him (say): We worship them only that they may bring us near unto Allah. Lo! Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Lo! Allah guideth not him who is a liar, an ingrate.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 4If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created. Be He Glorified! He is Allah, the One, the Absolute.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 5He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. He maketh night to succeed day, and He maketh day to succeed night, and He constraineth the sun and the moon to give service, each running on for an appointed term. Is not He the Mighty, the Forgiver?
- Surah Az-Zumar · 6He created you from one being, then from that (being) He made its mate; and He hath provided for you of cattle eight kinds. He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in a threefold gloom. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the Sovereignty. There is no Allah save Him. How then are ye turned away?
- Surah Az-Zumar · 7If ye are thankless, yet Allah is Independent of you, though He is not pleased with thanklessness for His bondmen; and if ye are thankful He is pleased therewith for you. No laden soul will bear another's load. Then unto your Lord is your return; and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men).
- Surah Az-Zumar · 8And when some hurt toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning unto Him (repentant). Then, when He granteth him a boon from Him he forgetteth that for which he cried unto Him before, and setteth up rivals to Allah that he may beguile (men) from his way. Say (O Muhammad, unto such an one): Take pleasure in thy disbelief a while. Lo! thou art of the owners of the Fire.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 9Is he who payeth adoration in the watches of the night, prostrate and standing, bewaring of the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, (to be accounted equal with a disbeliever)? Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Are those who know equal with those who know not? But only men of understanding will pay heed.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 10Say: O My bondmen who believe! Observe your duty to your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good, and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the steadfast will be paid their wages without stint.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 11Say (O Muhammad): Lo! I am commanded to worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only).
- Surah Az-Zumar · 12And I am commanded to be the first of those who are muslims (surrender unto Him).
- Surah Az-Zumar · 13Say: Lo! if I should disobey my Lord, I fear the doom of a tremendous Day.
- Surah Az-Zumar · 14Say: Allah I worship, making my religion pure for Him (only).
- Surah Az-Zumar · 53Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins.
- Surah Ghafir · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Ghafir · 2The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Knower,
- Surah Ghafir · 3The Forgiver of sin, the Accepter of repentance, the Stern in punishment, the Bountiful. There is no Allah save Him. Unto Him is the journeying.
- Surah Ghafir · 4None argue concerning the revelations of Allah save those who disbelieve, so let not their turn of fortune in the land deceive thee (O Muhammad).
- Surah Ghafir · 5The folk of Noah and the factions after them denied (their messengers) before these, and every nation purposed to seize their messenger and argued falsely, (thinking) thereby to refute the Truth. Then I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment.
- Surah Ghafir · 6Thus was the word of thy Lord concerning those who disbelieve fulfilled: That they are owners of the Fire.
- Surah Ghafir · 7Those who bear the Throne, and all who are round about it, hymn the praises of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe (saying): Our Lord! Thou comprehendest all things in mercy and knowledge, therefor forgive those who repent and follow Thy way. Ward off from them the punishment of hell.
- Surah Ghafir · 8Our Lord! And make them enter the Gardens of Eden which thou hast promised them, with such of their fathers and their wives and their descendants as do right. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Ghafir · 9And ward off from them ill-deeds; and he from whom Thou wardest off ill-deeds that day, him verily hast Thou taken into mercy. That is the supreme triumph.
- Surah Ghafir · 10Lo! (on that day) those who disbelieve are informed by proclamation: Verily Allah's abhorrence is more terrible than your abhorrence one of another, when ye were called unto the faith but did refuse.
- Surah Ghafir · 11They say: Our Lord! Twice hast Thou made us die, and twice hast Thou made us live. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go out?
- Surah Ghafir · 12(It is said unto them): This is (your plight) because, when Allah only was invoked, ye disbelieved, but when some partner was ascribed to Him ye were believing. But the command belongeth only to Allah, the Sublime, the Majestic.
- Surah Ghafir · 13He it is Who showeth you His portents, and sendeth down for you provision from the sky. None payeth heed save him who turneth (unto Him) repentant.
- Surah Ghafir · 14Therefor (O believers) pray unto Allah, making religion pure for Him (only), however much the disbelievers be averse -
- Surah Ghafir · 60And your Lord hath said: Pray unto Me and I will hear your prayer. Lo! those who scorn My service, they will enter hell, disgraced.
- Surah Fussilat · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Fussilat · 2A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful,
- Surah Fussilat · 3A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge,
- Surah Fussilat · 4Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not.
- Surah Fussilat · 5And they say: Our hearts are protected from that unto which thou (O Muhammad) callest us, and in our ears there is a deafness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act, then. Lo! we also shall be acting.
- Surah Fussilat · 6Say (unto them O Muhammad): I am only a mortal like you. It is inspired in me that your Allah is One Allah, therefor take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe unto the idolaters,
- Surah Fussilat · 7Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
- Surah Fussilat · 8Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring.
- Surah Fussilat · 9Say (O Muhammad, unto the idolaters): Disbelieve ye verily in Him Who created the earth in two Days, and ascribe ye unto Him rivals? He (and none else) is the Lord of the Worlds.
- Surah Fussilat · 10He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask;
- Surah Fussilat · 11Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient.
- Surah Fussilat · 12Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.
- Surah Fussilat · 13But if they turn away, then say: I warn you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt (which fell of old upon the tribes) of A'ad and Thamud;
- Surah Fussilat · 14When their messengers came unto them from before them and behind them, saying: Worship none but Allah! they said: If our Lord had willed, He surely would have sent down angels (unto us), so lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent.
- Surah Fussilat · 53We shall show them Our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?
- Surah Ash-Shura · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 2A'in. Sin. Qaf.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 3Thus Allah the Mighty, the Knower inspireth thee (Muhammad) as (He inspired) those before thee.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 4Unto Him belongeth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 5Almost might the heavens above be rent asunder while the angels hymn the praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on the earth. Lo! Allah, He is the Forgiver, the Merciful.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 6And as for those who choose protecting friends beside Him, Allah is Warden over them, and thou art in no wise a guardian over them.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 7And thus We have inspired in thee a Lecture in Arabic, that thou mayst warn the mother-town and those around it, and mayst warn of a day of assembling whereof there is no doubt. A host will be in the Garden, and a host of them in the Flame.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 8Had Allah willed, He could have made them one community, but Allah bringeth whom He will into His mercy. And the wrong-doers have no friend nor helper.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 9Or have they chosen protecting friends besides Him? But Allah, He (alone) is the Protecting Friend. He quickeneth the dead, and He is Able to do all things.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 10And in whatsoever ye differ, the verdict therein belongeth to Allah. Such is my Lord, in Whom I put my trust, and unto Whom I turn.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 11Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 12His are the keys of the heavens and the earth. He enlargeth providence for whom He will and straiteneth (it for whom He will). Lo! He is Knower of all things.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 13He hath ordained for you that religion which He commended unto Noah, and that which We inspire in thee (Muhammad), and that which We commended unto Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying: Establish the religion, and be not divided therein. Dreadful for the idolaters is that unto which thou callest them. Allah chooseth for Himself whom He will, and guideth unto Himself him who turneth (toward Him).
- Surah Ash-Shura · 14And they were not divided until after the knowledge came unto them, through rivalry among themselves; and had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from thy Lord for an appointed term, it surely had been judged between them. And those who were made to inherit the Scripture after them are verily in hopeless doubt concerning it.
- Surah Ash-Shura · 15Unto this, then, summon (O Muhammad). And be thou upright as thou art commanded, and follow not their lusts, but say: I believe in whatever scripture Allah hath sent down, and I am commanded to be just among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. Unto us our works and unto you your works; no argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and unto Him is the journeying.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 2By the Scripture which maketh plain,
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 3Lo! We have appointed it a Lecture, in Arabic that haply ye may understand.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 4And Lo! in the Source of Decrees, which We possess, it is indeed sublime, decisive.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 5Shall We utterly ignore you because ye are a wanton folk?
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 6How many a prophet did We send among the men of old!
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 7And never came there unto them a prophet but they used to mock him.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 8Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them).
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 9And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them;
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 10Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and placed roads for you therein, that haply ye may find your way;
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 11And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth;
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 12He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 13That ye may mount upon their backs, and may remember your Lord's favour when ye mount thereon, and may say: Glorified be He Who hath subdued these unto us, and we were not capable (of subduing them);
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 14And lo! unto our Lord we surely are returning.
- Surah Az-Zukhruf · 36And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade;
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 2By the Scripture that maketh plain
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 3Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning -
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 4Whereon every wise command is made clear
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 5As a command from Our presence - Lo! We are ever sending -
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 6A mercy from thy Lord. Lo! He, even He is the Hearer, the Knower,
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 7Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye would be sure.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 8There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and giveth death; your Lord and Lord of your forefathers.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 9Nay, but they play in doubt.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 10But watch thou (O Muhammad) for the day when the sky will produce visible smoke
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 11That will envelop the people. This will be a painful torment.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 12(Then they will say): Our Lord relieve us of the torment. Lo! we are believers.
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 13How can there be remembrance for them, when a messenger making plain (the Truth) had already come unto them,
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 14And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman?
- Surah Ad-Dukhan · 15Lo! We withdraw the torment a little. Lo! ye return (to disbelief).
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 2The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 3Lo! in the heavens and the earth are portents for believers.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 4And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 5And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 6These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe?
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 7Woe unto each sinful liar,
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 8Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 9And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 10Beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 11This is guidance. And those who disbelieve the revelations of their Lord, for them there is a painful doom of wrath.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 12Allah it is Who hath made the sea of service unto you that the ships may run thereon by His command, and that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may be thankful;
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 13And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 14Tell those who believe to forgive those who hope not for the days of Allah; in order that He may requite folk what they used to earn.
- Surah Al-Jathiyah · 15Whoso doeth right, it is for his soul, and whoso doeth wrong, it is against it. And afterward unto your Lord ye will be brought back.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 1Ha. Mim.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 2The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 3We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and for a term appointed. But those who disbelieve turn away from that whereof they are warned.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 4Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Have ye thought on all that ye invoke beside Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth. Or have they any portion in the heavens? Bring me a scripture before this (Scripture), or some vestige of knowledge (in support of what ye say), if ye are truthful.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 5And who is further astray than those who, instead of Allah, pray unto such as hear not their prayer until the Day of Resurrection, and are unconscious of their prayer,
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 6And when mankind are gathered (to the Judgment) will become enemies for them, and will become deniers of having been worshipped.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 7And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say of the Truth when it reacheth them: This is mere magic.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 8Or say they: He hath invented it? Say (O Muhammad): If I have invented it, still ye have no power to support me against Allah. He is Best Aware of what ye say among yourselves concerning it. He sufficeth for a witness between me and you. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 9Say: I am no new thing among the messengers (of Allah), nor know I what will be done with me or with you. I do but follow that which is inspired in me, and I am but a plain warner.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 10Bethink you: If it is from Allah and ye disbelieve therein, and a witness of the Children of Israel hath already testified to the like thereof and hath believed, and ye are too proud (what plight is yours)? Lo! Allah guideth not wrong-doing folk.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 11And those who disbelieve say of those who believe: If it had been (any) good, they would not have been before us in attaining it. And since they will not be guided by it, they say: This is an ancient lie;
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 12When before it there was the Scripture of Moses, an example and a mercy; and this is a confirming Scripture in the Arabic language, that it may warn those who do wrong and bring good tidings for the righteous.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 13Lo! those who say: Our Lord is Allah, and thereafter walk aright, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 14Such are rightful owners of the Garden, immortal therein, as a reward for what they used to do.
- Surah Al-Ahqaf · 15And We have commended unto man kindness toward parents. His mother beareth him with reluctance, and bringeth him forth with reluctance, and the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months, till, when he attaineth full strength and reacheth forty years, he saith: My Lord! Arouse me that I may give thanks for the favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and that I may do right acceptable unto Thee. And be gracious unto me in the matter of my seed. Lo! I have turned unto Thee repentant, and lo! I am of those who surrender (unto Thee).
- Surah Muhammad · 1Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain.
- Surah Muhammad · 2And those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He riddeth them of their ill-deeds and improveth their state.
- Surah Muhammad · 3That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and because those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus Allah coineth their similitudes for mankind.
- Surah Muhammad · 4Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain.
- Surah Muhammad · 5He will guide them and improve their state,
- Surah Muhammad · 6And bring them in unto the Garden which He hath made known to them.
- Surah Muhammad · 7O ye who believe! If ye help Allah, He will help you and will make your foothold firm.
- Surah Muhammad · 8And those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain.
- Surah Muhammad · 9That is because they are averse to that which Allah hath revealed, therefor maketh He their actions fruitless.
- Surah Muhammad · 10Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? Allah wiped them out. And for the disbelievers there will be the like thereof.
- Surah Muhammad · 11That is because Allah is patron of those who believe, and because the disbelievers have no patron.
- Surah Muhammad · 12Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; while those who disbelieve take their comfort in this life and eat even as the cattle eat, and the Fire is their habitation.
- Surah Muhammad · 13And how many a township stronger than thy township (O Muhammad) which hath cast thee out, have We destroyed, and they had no helper!
- Surah Muhammad · 14Is he who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord like those for whom the evil that they do is beautified while they follow their own lusts?
- Surah Muhammad · 15A similitude of the Garden which those who keep their duty (to Allah) are promised: Therein are rivers of water unpolluted, and rivers of milk whereof the flavour changeth not, and rivers of wine delicious to the drinkers, and rivers of clear-run honey; therein for them is every kind of fruit, with pardon from their Lord. (Are those who enjoy all this) like those who are immortal in the Fire and are given boiling water to drink so that it teareth their bowels?
- Surah Al-Fath · 1Lo! We have given thee (O Muhammad) a signal victory,
- Surah Al-Fath · 2That Allah may forgive thee of thy sin that which is past and that which is to come, and may perfect His favour unto thee, and may guide thee on a right path,
- Surah Al-Fath · 3And that Allah may help thee with strong help -
- Surah Al-Fath · 4He it is Who sent down peace of reassurance into the hearts of the believers that they might add faith unto their faith. Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Knower, Wise -
- Surah Al-Fath · 5That He may bring the believing men and the believing women into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide, and may remit from them their evil deeds - That, in the sight of Allah, is the supreme triumph -
- Surah Al-Fath · 6And may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the idolatrous men and the idolatrous women, who think an evil thought concerning Allah. For them is the evil turn of fortune, and Allah is wroth against them and hath cursed them, and hath made ready for them hell, a hapless journey's end.
- Surah Al-Fath · 7Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Mighty, Wise.
- Surah Al-Fath · 8Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) as a witness and a bearer of good tidings and a warner,
- Surah Al-Fath · 9That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day.
- Surah Al-Fath · 10Lo! those who swear allegiance unto thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. So whosoever breaketh his oath, breaketh it only to his soul's hurt; while whosoever keepeth his covenant with Allah, on him will He bestow immense reward.
- Surah Al-Fath · 11Those of the wandering Arabs who were left behind will tell thee: Our possessions and our households occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us! They speak with their tongues that which is not in their hearts. Say: Who can avail you aught against Allah, if He intend you hurt or intend you profit? Nay, but Allah is ever Aware of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Fath · 12Nay, but ye deemed that the messenger and the believers would never return to their own folk, and that was made fairseeming in your hearts, and ye did think an evil thought, and ye were worthless folk.
- Surah Al-Fath · 13And so for him who believeth not in Allah and His messenger - Lo! We have prepared a flame for disbelievers.
- Surah Al-Fath · 14And Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He forgiveth whom He will, and punisheth whom He will. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Fath · 15Those who were left behind will say, when ye set forth to capture booty: Let us go with you. They fain would change the verdict of Allah. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Ye shall not go with us. Thus hath Allah said beforehand. Then they will say: Ye are envious of us. Nay, but they understand not, save a little.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 1O ye who believe! Be not forward in the presence of Allah and His messenger, and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 2O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another, lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 3Lo! they who subdue their voices in the presence of the messenger of Allah, those are they whose hearts Allah hath proven unto righteousness. Theirs will be forgiveness and immense reward.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 4Lo! those who call thee from behind the private apartments, most of them have no sense.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 5And if they had had patience till thou camest forth unto them, it had been better for them. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 6O ye who believe! If an evil-liver bring you tidings, verify it, lest ye smite some folk in ignorance and afterward repent of what ye did.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 7And know that the messenger of Allah is among you. If he were to obey you in much of the government, ye would surely be in trouble; but Allah hath endeared the faith to you and hath beautified it in your hearts, and hath made disbelief and lewdness and rebellion hateful unto you. Such are they who are the rightly guided.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 8(It is) a bounty and a grace from Allah; and Allah is Knower, Wise.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 9And if two parties of believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them. And if one party of them doeth wrong to the other, fight ye that which doeth wrong till it return unto the ordinance of Allah; then, if it return, make peace between them justly, and act equitably. Lo! Allah loveth the equitable.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 10The believers are naught else than brothers. Therefore make peace between your brethren and observe your duty to Allah that haply ye may obtain mercy.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 11O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 12O ye who believe! Shun much suspicion; for lo! some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ye abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 13O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 14The wandering Arabs say: We believe. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Ye believe not, but rather say "We submit," for the faith hath not yet entered into your hearts. Yet, if ye obey Allah and His messenger, He will not withhold from you aught of (the reward of) your deeds. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Hujurat · 15The (true) believers are those only who believe in Allah and His messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives for the cause of Allah. Such are the sincere.
- Surah Qaf · 1Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,
- Surah Qaf · 2Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
- Surah Qaf · 3When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!
- Surah Qaf · 4We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
- Surah Qaf · 5Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.
- Surah Qaf · 6Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
- Surah Qaf · 7And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
- Surah Qaf · 8A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
- Surah Qaf · 9And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
- Surah Qaf · 10And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,
- Surah Qaf · 11Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.
- Surah Qaf · 12The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,
- Surah Qaf · 13And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
- Surah Qaf · 14And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
- Surah Qaf · 16We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 1By those that winnow with a winnowing
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 2And those that bear the burden (of the rain)
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 3And those that glide with ease (upon the sea)
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 4And those who distribute (blessings) by command,
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 5Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true,
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 6And lo! the judgment will indeed befall.
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 7By the heaven full of paths,
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 8Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth).
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 9He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse.
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 10Accursed be the conjecturers
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 11Who are careless in an abyss!
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 12They ask: When is the Day of Judgment?
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 13(It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire,
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 14(And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten.
- Surah Adh-Dhariyat · 56I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.
- Surah At-Tur · 1By the Mount,
- Surah At-Tur · 2And a Scripture inscribed
- Surah At-Tur · 3On fine parchment unrolled,
- Surah At-Tur · 4And the House frequented,
- Surah At-Tur · 5And the roof exalted,
- Surah At-Tur · 6And the sea kept filled,
- Surah At-Tur · 7Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass;
- Surah At-Tur · 8There is none that can ward it off.
- Surah At-Tur · 9On the day when the heaven will heave with (awful) heaving,
- Surah At-Tur · 10And the mountains move away with (awful) movement,
- Surah At-Tur · 11Then woe that day unto the deniers
- Surah At-Tur · 12Who play in talk of grave matters;
- Surah At-Tur · 13The day when they are thrust with a (disdainful) thrust, into the fire of hell
- Surah At-Tur · 14(And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny.

- Surah An-Najm · 2Your comrade erreth not, nor is deceived;
- Surah An-Najm · 3Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire.
- Surah An-Najm · 4It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired,
- Surah An-Najm · 5Which one of mighty powers hath taught him,
- Surah An-Najm · 6One vigorous; and he grew clear to view
- Surah An-Najm · 7When he was on the uppermost horizon.
- Surah An-Najm · 8Then he drew nigh and came down
- Surah An-Najm · 9Till he was (distant) two bows' length or even nearer,
- Surah An-Najm · 10And He revealed unto His slave that which He revealed.
- Surah An-Najm · 11The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw.
- Surah An-Najm · 12Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he seeth?
- Surah An-Najm · 13And verily he saw him yet another time
- Surah An-Najm · 14By the lote-tree of the utmost boundary,
- Surah An-Najm · 39And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort,
- Surah Al-Qamar · 1The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 2And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 3They denied (the Truth) and followed their own lusts. Yet everything will come to a decision
- Surah Al-Qamar · 4And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter,
- Surah Al-Qamar · 5Effective wisdom; but warnings avail not.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 6So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) on the day when the Summoner summoneth unto a painful thing.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 7With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves as they were locusts spread abroad,
- Surah Al-Qamar · 8Hastening toward the summoner; the disbelievers say: This is a hard day.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 9The folk of Noah denied before them, yea, they denied Our slave and said: A madman; and he was repulsed.

- Surah Al-Qamar · 13And We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails,
- Surah Al-Qamar · 14That ran (upon the waters) in Our sight, as a reward for him who was rejected.
- Surah Al-Qamar · 17And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth?
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 1The Beneficent
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 2Hath made known the Qur'an.
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 3He hath created man.
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 4He hath taught him utterance.
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 5The sun and the moon are made punctual.

- Surah Ar-Rahman · 9But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof.
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 10And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures,
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 11Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees,
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 12Husked grain and scented herb.
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 13Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 14He created man of clay like the potter's,
- Surah Ar-Rahman · 15And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire.
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 1When the event befalleth -
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 2There is no denying that it will befall -
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 3Abasing (some), exalting (others);
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 4When the earth is shaken with a shock
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 5And the hills are ground to powder
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 6So that they become a scattered dust,
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 7And ye will be three kinds:
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 8(First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand?
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 9And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand?
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 10And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race:
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 11Those are they who will be brought nigh
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 12In gardens of delight;
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 13A multitude of those of old
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 14And a few of those of later time.
- Surah Al-Waqiah · 77That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an
- Surah Al-Hadid · 1All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 2His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He is Able to do all things.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 3He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 4He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days; then He mounted the Throne. He knoweth all that entereth the earth and all that emergeth therefrom and all that cometh down from the sky and all that ascendeth therein; and He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah is Seer of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 5His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and unto Allah (all) things are brought back.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 6He causeth the night to pass into the day, and He causeth the day to pass into the night, and He is knower of all that is in the breasts.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 7Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He hath made you trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a great reward.

- Surah Al-Hadid · 9He it is Who sendeth down clear revelations unto His slave, that He may bring you forth from darkness unto light; and lo! for you, Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 10And what aileth you that ye spend not in the way of Allah when unto Allah belongeth the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent and fought before the victory are not upon a level (with the rest of you). Such are greater in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Unto each hath Allah promised good. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 11Who is he that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, that He may double it for him and his may be a rich reward?
- Surah Al-Hadid · 12On the day when thou (Muhammad) wilt see the believers, men and women, their light shining forth before them and on their right hands, (and wilt hear it said unto them): Glad news for you this day: Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein ye are immortal. That is the supreme triumph.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 13On the day when the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women will say unto those who believe: Look on us that we may borrow from your light! it will be said: Go back and seek for light! Then there will separate them a wall wherein is a gate, the inner side whereof containeth mercy, while the outer side thereof is toward the doom.
- Surah Al-Hadid · 14They will cry unto them (saying): Were we not with you? They will say: Yea, verily; but ye tempted one another, and hesitated, and doubted, and vain desires beguiled you till the ordinance of Allah came to pass; and the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah;
- Surah Al-Hadid · 20Know that the life of the world is only play, and idle talk, and pageantry.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 1Allah hath heard the saying of her that disputeth with thee (Muhammad) concerning her husband, and complaineth unto Allah. And Allah heareth your colloquy. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 2Such of you as put away your wives (by saying they are as their mothers) - They are not their mothers; none are their mothers except those who gave them birth - they indeed utter an ill word and a lie. And lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 3Those who put away their wives (by saying they are as their mothers) and afterward would go back on that which they have said, (the penalty) in that case (is) the freeing of a slave before they touch one another. Unto this ye are exhorted; and Allah is Informed of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 4And he who findeth not (the wherewithal), let him fast for two successive months before they touch one another; and for him who is unable to do so (the penance is) the feeding of sixty needy ones. This, that ye may put trust in Allah and His messenger. Such are the limits (imposed by Allah); and for disbelievers is a painful doom.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 5Lo! those who oppose Allah and His messenger will be abased even as those before them were abased; and We have sent down clear tokens, and for disbelievers is a shameful doom
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 6On the day when Allah will raise them all together and inform them of what they did. Allah hath kept account of it while they forgot it. And Allah is Witness over all things.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 7Hast thou not seen that Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth? There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them wheresoever they may be; and afterward, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. Lo! Allah is Knower of all things.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 8Hast thou not observed those who were forbidden conspiracy and afterward returned to that which they had been forbidden, and (now) conspire together for crime and wrongdoing and disobedience toward the messenger? And when they come unto thee they greet thee with a greeting wherewith Allah greeteth thee not, and say within themselves: Why should Allah punish us for what we say? Hell will suffice them; they will feel the heat thereof - a hapless journey's end!
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 9O ye who believe! When ye conspire together, conspire not together for crime and wrongdoing and disobedience toward the messenger, but conspire together for righteousness and piety, and keep your duty toward Allah, unto whom ye will be gathered.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 10Lo! Conspiracy is only of the devil, that he may vex those who believe; but he can harm them not at all unless by Allah's leave. In Allah let believers put their trust.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 11O ye who believe! when it is said unto you, Make room! in assemblies, then make room; Allah will make way for you (hereafter). And when it is said, Come up higher! go up higher; Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks. Allah is Informed of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 12O ye who believe! When ye hold conference with the messenger, offer an alms before your conference. That is better and purer for you. But if ye cannot find (the wherewithal) then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

- Surah Al-Mujadila · 14Hast thou not seen those who take for friends a folk with whom Allah is wroth? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear a false oath knowingly.
- Surah Al-Mujadila · 15Allah hath prepared for them a dreadful doom. Evil indeed is that which they are wont to do.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 1All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 2He it is Who hath caused those of the People of the Scripture who disbelieved to go forth from their homes unto the first exile. Ye deemed not that they would go forth, while they deemed that their strongholds would protect them from Allah. But Allah reached them from a place whereof they recked not, and cast terror in their hearts so that they ruined their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So learn a lesson, O ye who have eyes!
- Surah Al-Hashr · 3And if Allah had not decreed migration for them, He verily would have punished them in the world, and theirs in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 4That is because they were opposed to Allah and His messenger; and whoso is opposed to Allah, (for him) verily Allah is stern in reprisal.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 5Whatsoever palm-trees ye cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by Allah's leave, in order that He might confound the evil-livers.

- Surah Al-Hashr · 7That which Allah giveth as spoil unto His messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and His messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, that it become not a commodity between the rich among you. And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 8And (it is) for the poor fugitives who have been driven out from their homes and their belongings, who seek bounty from Allah and help Allah and His messenger. They are the loyal.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 9Those who entered the city and the faith before them love those who flee unto them for refuge, and find in their breasts no need for that which hath been given them, but prefer (the fugitives) above themselves though poverty become their lot. And whoso is saved from his own avarice - such are they who are successful.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 10And those who came (into the faith) after them say: Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who were before us in the faith, and place not in our hearts any rancour toward those who believe. Our Lord! Thou art Full of Pity, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 11Hast thou not observed those who are hypocrites, (how) they tell their brethren who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture: If ye are driven out, we surely will go out with you, and we will never obey anyone against you, and if ye are attacked we verily will help you. And Allah beareth witness that they verily are liars.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 12(For) indeed if they are driven out they go not out with them, and indeed if they are attacked they help them not, and indeed if they had helped them they would have turned and fled, and then they would not have been victorious.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 13Ye are more awful as a fear in their bosoms than Allah. That is because they are a folk who understand not.
- Surah Al-Hashr · 14They will not fight against you in a body save in fortified villages or from behind walls. Their adversity among themselves is very great. Ye think of them as a whole whereas their hearts are divers. That is because they are a folk who have no sense.

- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 1O ye who believe! Choose not My enemy and your enemy for allies. Do ye give them friendship when they disbelieve in that truth which hath come unto you, driving out the messenger and you because ye believe in Allah, your Lord? If ye have come forth to strive in My way and seeking My good pleasure, (show them not friendship). Do ye show friendship unto them in secret, when I am Best Aware of what ye hide and what ye proclaim? And whosoever doeth it among you, he verily hath strayed from the right way.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 2If they have the upper hand of you, they will be your foes, and will stretch out their hands and their tongues toward you with evil (intent), and they long for you to disbelieve.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 3Your ties of kindred and your children will avail you naught upon the Day of Resurrection. He will part you. Allah is Seer of what ye do.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 4There is a goodly pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they told their folk: Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only - save that which Abraham promised his father (when he said): I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I own nothing for thee from Allah - Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust, and unto Thee we turn repentant, and unto Thee is the journeying.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 5Our Lord! Make us not a prey for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord! Lo! Thou, only Thou, are the Mighty, the Wise.

- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 8Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 9Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. Whosoever maketh friends of them - (All) such are wrong-doers.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 10O ye who believe! When believing women come unto you as fugitives, examine them. Allah is Best Aware of their faith. Then, if ye know them for true believers, send them not back unto the disbelievers. They are not lawful for them (the disbelievers), nor are they (the disbelievers) lawful for them. And give them (the disbelievers) that which they have spent (upon them). And it is no sin for you to marry such women when ye have given them their dues. And hold not to the ties of disbelieving women; and ask for (the return of) that which ye have spent; and let them (the disbelievers) ask for that which they have spent. That is the judgment of Allah. He judgeth between you. Allah is Knower, Wise.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 11And if any of your wives have gone from you unto the disbelievers and afterward ye have your turn (of triumph), then give unto those whose wives have gone the like of that which they have spent, and keep your duty to Allah in Whom ye are believers.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 12O Prophet! If believing women come unto thee, taking oath of allegiance unto thee that they will ascribe no thing as partner unto Allah, and will neither steal nor commit adultery nor kill their children, nor produce any lie that they have devised between their hands and feet, nor disobey thee in what is right, then accept their allegiance and ask Allah to forgive them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 13O ye who believe! Be not friendly with a folk with whom Allah is wroth, (a folk) who have despaired of the Hereafter as the disbelievers despair of those who are in the graves.
- Surah As-Saff · 1All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah As-Saff · 2O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not?
- Surah As-Saff · 3It is most hateful in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not.
- Surah As-Saff · 4Lo! Allah loveth them who battle for His cause in ranks, as if they were a solid structure.
- Surah As-Saff · 5And (remember) when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Why persecute ye me, when ye well know that I am Allah's messenger unto you? So when they went astray Allah sent their hearts astray. And Allah guideth not the evil-living folk.
- Surah As-Saff · 6And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.
- Surah As-Saff · 7And who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

- Surah As-Saff · 10O ye who believe! Shall I show you a commerce that will save you from a painful doom?
- Surah As-Saff · 11Ye should believe in Allah and His messenger, and should strive for the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you, if ye did but know.
- Surah As-Saff · 12He will forgive you your sins and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in Gardens of Eden. That is the supreme triumph.
- Surah As-Saff · 13And (He will give you) another (blessing) which ye love: help from Allah and present victory. Give good tidings (O Muhammad) to believers.
- Surah As-Saff · 14O ye who believe! Be Allah's helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the disciples: Who are my helpers for Allah? They said: We are Allah's helpers. And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the uppermost.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 1All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 2He it is Who hath sent among the unlettered ones a messenger of their own, to recite unto them His revelations and to make them grow, and to teach them the Scripture and wisdom, though heretofore they were indeed in error manifest,
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 3Along with others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 4That is the bounty of Allah; which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 5The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 6Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of Allah apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 7But they will never long for it because of all that their own hands have sent before, and Allah is Aware of evil-doers.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 8Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 9O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 10And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful.
- Surah Al-Jumuah · 11But when they spy some merchandise or pastime they break away to it and leave thee standing. Say: That which Allah hath is better than pastime and than merchandise, and Allah is the Best of providers.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 1When the hypocrites come unto thee (O Muhammad), they say: We bear witness that thou art indeed Allah's messenger. And Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the hypocrites indeed are speaking falsely.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 2They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily evil is that which they are wont to do,
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 3That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 4And when thou seest them their figures please thee; and if they speak thou givest ear unto their speech. (They are) as though they were blocks of wood in striped cloaks. They deem every shout to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah confound them! How they are perverted!
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 5And when it is said unto them: Come! The messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you! they avert their faces and thou seest them turning away, disdainful.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 6Whether thou ask forgiveness for them or ask not forgiveness for them is all one for them; Allah will not forgive them. Lo! Allah guideth not the evil-living folk.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 7They it is who say: Spend not on behalf of those (who dwell) with Allah's messenger that they may disperse (and go away from you); when Allah's are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites comprehend not.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 8They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongeth to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 9O ye who believe! Let not your wealth nor your children distract you from remembrance of Allah. Those who do so, they are the losers.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 10And spend of that wherewith We have provided you before death cometh unto one of you and he saith: My Lord! If only thou wouldst reprieve me for a little while, then I would give alms and be among the righteous.
- Surah Al-Munafiqun · 11But Allah reprieveth no soul when its term cometh, and Allah is Informed of what ye do.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 1All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 2He it is Who created you, but one of you is a disbeliever and one of you is a believer, and Allah is Seer of what ye do.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 3He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He shaped you and made good your shapes, and unto Him is the journeying.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 4He knoweth all that is in the heavens and the earth, and He knoweth what ye conceal and what ye publish. And Allah is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men).
- Surah At-Taghabun · 5Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 6That was because their messengers (from Allah) kept coming unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they said: Shall mere mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, and Allah was independent (of them). Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 7Those who disbelieve assert that they will not be raised again. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Yea, verily, by my Lord! ye will be raised again and then ye will be informed of what ye did; and that is easy for Allah.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 8So believe in Allah and His messenger and the light which We have revealed. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 9The day when He shall gather you unto the Day of Assembling, that will be a day of mutual disillusion. And whoso believeth in Allah and doeth right, He will remit from him his evil deeds and will bring him unto Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 10But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end!
- Surah At-Taghabun · 11No calamity befalleth save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believeth in Allah, He guideth his heart. And Allah is Knower of all things.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 12Obey Allah and obey His messenger; but if ye turn away, then the duty of Our messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 13Allah! There is no Allah save Him. In Allah, therefore, let believers put their trust.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 14O ye who believe! Lo! among your wives and your children there are enemies for you, therefor beware of them. And if ye efface and overlook and forgive, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah At-Taghabun · 15Your wealth and your children are only a temptation, whereas Allah! with Him is an immense reward.
- Surah At-Talaq · 1O Prophet! When ye (men) put away women, put them away for their (legal) period and reckon the period, and keep your duty to Allah, your Lord. Expel them not from their houses nor let them go forth unless they commit open immorality. Such are the limits (imposed by) Allah; and whoso transgresseth Allah's limits, he verily wrongeth his soul. Thou knowest not: it may be that Allah will afterward bring some new thing to pass.
- Surah At-Talaq · 2Then, when they have reached their term, take them back in kindness or part from them in kindness, and call to witness two just men among you, and keep your testimony upright for Allah. Whoso believeth in Allah and the Last Day is exhorted to act thus. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint a way out for him,
- Surah At-Talaq · 3And whosoever putteth his trust in Allah, He will suffice him.
- Surah At-Talaq · 4And for such of your women as despair of menstruation, if ye doubt, their period (of waiting) shall be three months, along with those who have it not. And for those with child, their period shall be till they bring forth their burden. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, He maketh his course easy for him.
- Surah At-Talaq · 5That is the commandment of Allah which He revealeth unto you. And whoso keepeth his duty to Allah, He will remit from him his evil deeds and magnify reward for him.
- Surah At-Talaq · 6Lodge them where ye dwell, according to your wealth, and harass them not so as to straiten life for them. And if they are with child, then spend for them till they bring forth their burden. Then, if they give suck for you, give them their due payment and consult together in kindness; but if ye make difficulties for one another, then let some other woman give suck for him (the father of the child).
- Surah At-Talaq · 7Let him who hath abundance spend of his abundance, and he whose provision is measured, let him spend of that which Allah hath given him. Allah asketh naught of any soul save that which He hath given it. Allah will vouchsafe, after hardship, ease.
- Surah At-Talaq · 8And how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its Lord and His messengers, and We called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment,
- Surah At-Talaq · 9So that it tasted the ill-effects of its conduct, and the consequence of its conduct was loss.
- Surah At-Talaq · 10Allah hath prepared for them stern punishment; so keep your duty to Allah, O men of understanding! O ye who believe! Now Allah hath sent down unto you a reminder,
- Surah At-Talaq · 11A messenger reciting unto you the revelations of Allah made plain, that He may bring forth those who believe and do good works from darkness unto light. And whosoever believeth in Allah and doeth right, He will bring him into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to abide for ever. Allah hath made good provision for him.
- Surah At-Talaq · 12Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 1O Prophet! Why bannest thou that which Allah hath made lawful for thee, seeking to please thy wives? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 2Allah hath made lawful for you (Muslims) absolution from your oaths (of such a kind), and Allah is your Protector. He is the Knower, the Wise.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 3When the Prophet confided a fact unto one of his wives and when she afterward divulged it and Allah apprised him thereof, he made known (to her) part thereof and passed over part. And when he told it her she said: Who hath told thee? He said: The Knower, the Aware hath told me.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 4If ye twain turn unto Allah repentant, (ye have cause to do so) for your hearts desired (the ban); and if ye aid one another against him (Muhammad) then lo! Allah, even He, is his Protecting Friend, and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore the angels are his helpers.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 5It may happen that his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your stead wives better than you, submissive (to Allah), believing, pious, penitent, devout, inclined to fasting, widows and maids.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 6O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 7(Then it will be said): O ye who disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 8O ye who believe! Turn unto Allah in sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your evil deeds and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, on the day when Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will run before them and on their right hands; they will say: Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us! Lo! Thou art Able to do all things.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 9O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 10Allah citeth an example for those who disbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot, who were under two of Our righteous slaves yet betrayed them so that they (the husbands) availed them naught against Allah and it was said (unto them): Enter the Fire along with those who enter.
- Surah At-Tahrim · 11And Allah citeth an example for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh when she said: My Lord! Build for me a home with thee in the Garden, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from evil-doing folk;
- Surah At-Tahrim · 12And Mary, daughter of 'Imran, whose body was chaste, therefor We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His scriptures, and was of the obedient.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 1Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 2Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,
- Surah Al-Mulk · 3Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts?
- Surah Al-Mulk · 4Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 5And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 6And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end!
- Surah Al-Mulk · 7When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up,
- Surah Al-Mulk · 8As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner?
- Surah Al-Mulk · 9They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 10And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 11So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 12Lo! those who fear their Lord in secret, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 13And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men).
- Surah Al-Mulk · 14Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile, the Aware.
- Surah Al-Mulk · 15He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead).
- Surah Al-Qalam · 1Nun. By the pen and that which they write (therewith),
- Surah Al-Qalam · 2Thou art not, for thy Lord's favour unto thee, a madman.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 3And lo! thine verily will be a reward unfailing.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 4And lo! thou art of a tremendous nature.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 5And thou wilt see and they will see
- Surah Al-Qalam · 6Which of you is the demented.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 7Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who walk aright.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 8Therefor obey not thou the rejecters
- Surah Al-Qalam · 9Who would have had thee compromise, that they may compromise.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 10Neither obey thou each feeble oath-monger,
- Surah Al-Qalam · 11Detracter, spreader abroad of slanders,
- Surah Al-Qalam · 12Hinderer of the good, transgressor, malefactor
- Surah Al-Qalam · 13Greedy therewithal, intrusive.
- Surah Al-Qalam · 14It is because he is possessed of wealth and children
- Surah Al-Qalam · 15That, when Our revelations are recited unto him, he saith: Mere fables of the men of old.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 1The Reality!
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 2What is the Reality?
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 3Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 4(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 5As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 6And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 7Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 8Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 9And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 10And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 11Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the ship
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 12That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 13And when the trumpet shall sound one blast
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 14And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash,
- Surah Al-Haqqah · 19Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!
- Surah Al-Maarij · 1A questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall
- Surah Al-Maarij · 2Upon the disbelievers, which none can repel,
- Surah Al-Maarij · 3From Allah, Lord of the Ascending Stairways
- Surah Al-Maarij · 4(Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years.
- Surah Al-Maarij · 5But be patient (O Muhammad) with a patience fair to see.
- Surah Al-Maarij · 6Lo! they behold it afar off
- Surah Al-Maarij · 7While we behold it nigh:
- Surah Al-Maarij · 8The day when the sky will become as molten copper,
- Surah Al-Maarij · 9And the hills become as flakes of wool,
- Surah Al-Maarij · 10And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend
- Surah Al-Maarij · 11Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children
- Surah Al-Maarij · 12And his spouse and his brother
- Surah Al-Maarij · 13And his kin that harboured him
- Surah Al-Maarij · 14And all that are in the earth, if then it might deliver him.
- Surah Al-Maarij · 15But nay! for lo! it is the fire of hell
- Surah Nuh · 1Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.
- Surah Nuh · 2He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you
- Surah Nuh · 3(Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,
- Surah Nuh · 4That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.
- Surah Nuh · 5He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day
- Surah Nuh · 6But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;
- Surah Nuh · 7And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.
- Surah Nuh · 8And lo! I have called unto them aloud,
- Surah Nuh · 9And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.
- Surah Nuh · 10And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.
- Surah Nuh · 11He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,
- Surah Nuh · 12And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.
- Surah Nuh · 13What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity
- Surah Nuh · 14When He created you by (divers) stages?
- Surah Nuh · 15See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,
- Surah Al-Jinn · 1Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an,
- Surah Al-Jinn · 2Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 3And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son,
- Surah Al-Jinn · 4And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 5And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah -
- Surah Al-Jinn · 6And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah);
- Surah Al-Jinn · 7And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) -
- Surah Al-Jinn · 8And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 9And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him;
- Surah Al-Jinn · 10And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 11And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 12And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 13And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 14And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully.
- Surah Al-Jinn · 18And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 1O thou wrapped up in thy raiment!
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 2Keep vigil the night long, save a little -
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 3A half thereof, or abate a little thereof
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 4Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure,
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 5For we shall charge thee with a word of weight.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 6Lo! the vigil of the night is (a time) when impression is more keen and speech more certain.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 7Lo! thou hast by day a chain of business.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 8So remember the name of thy Lord and devote thyself with a complete devotion -
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 9Lord of the East and the West; there is no Allah save Him; so choose thou Him alone for thy defender -
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 10And bear with patience what they utter, and part from them with a fair leave-taking.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 11Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 12Lo! with Us are heavy fetters and a raging fire,
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 13And food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 14On the day when the earth and the hills rock, and the hills become a heap of running sand.
- Surah Al-Muzzammil · 20Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur'an that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allah's bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 1O thou enveloped in thy cloak,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 2Arise and warn!
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 3Thy Lord magnify,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 4Thy raiment purify,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 5Pollution shun!
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 6And show not favour, seeking wordly gain!
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 7For the sake of thy Lord, be patient!
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 8For when the trumpet shall sound,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 9Surely that day will be a day of anguish,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 10Not of ease, for disbelievers.
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 11Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 12And then bestowed upon him ample means,
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 13And sons abiding in his presence
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 14And made (life) smooth for him.
- Surah Al-Muddaththir · 38Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds;

- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 2Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true).
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 3Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones?
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 4Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers!
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 5But man would fain deny what is before him.
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 6He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection?
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 7But when sight is confounded
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 8And the moon is eclipsed
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 9And sun and moon are united,
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 10On that day man will cry: Whither to flee!
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 11Alas! No refuge!
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 12Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day.
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 13On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind.
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 14Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself,
- Surah Al-Qiyamah · 36Thinketh man that he is to be left aimless?
- Surah Al-Insan · 1Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered?
- Surah Al-Insan · 2Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing.
- Surah Al-Insan · 3Lo! We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or disbelieving.
- Surah Al-Insan · 4Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers manacles and carcans and a raging fire.
- Surah Al-Insan · 5Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur,
- Surah Al-Insan · 6A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly,
- Surah Al-Insan · 7(Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading,
- Surah Al-Insan · 8And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him,
- Surah Al-Insan · 9(Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you;
- Surah Al-Insan · 10Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate.
- Surah Al-Insan · 11Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy;
- Surah Al-Insan · 12And hath awarded them for all that they endured, a Garden and silk attire;
- Surah Al-Insan · 13Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold.
- Surah Al-Insan · 14The shade thereof is close upon them and the clustered fruits thereof bow down.
- Surah Al-Insan · 15Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 1By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 2By the raging hurricanes,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 3By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 4By those who winnow with a winnowing,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 5By those who bring down the Reminder,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 6To excuse or to warn,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 7Surely that which ye are promised will befall.
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 8So when the stars are put out,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 9And when the sky is riven asunder,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 10And when the mountains are blown away,
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 11And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed -
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 12For what day is the time appointed?
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 13For the Day of Decision.
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 14And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! -
- Surah Al-Mursalat · 50In what statement, after this, will they believe?
- Surah An-Naba · 1Whereof do they question one another?
- Surah An-Naba · 2(It is) of the awful tidings,
- Surah An-Naba · 3Concerning which they are in disagreement.
- Surah An-Naba · 4Nay, but they will come to know!
- Surah An-Naba · 5Nay, again, but they will come to know!
- Surah An-Naba · 6Have We not made the earth an expanse,
- Surah An-Naba · 7And the high hills bulwarks?
- Surah An-Naba · 8And We have created you in pairs,
- Surah An-Naba · 9And have appointed your sleep for repose,
- Surah An-Naba · 10And have appointed the night as a cloak,
- Surah An-Naba · 11And have appointed the day for livelihood.
- Surah An-Naba · 12And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),
- Surah An-Naba · 13And have appointed a dazzling lamp,
- Surah An-Naba · 14And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water,
- Surah An-Naba · 31Lo! for the duteous is achievement -
- Surah An-Naziat · 1By those who drag forth to destruction,
- Surah An-Naziat · 2By the meteors rushing,
- Surah An-Naziat · 3By the lone stars floating,
- Surah An-Naziat · 4By the angels hastening,
- Surah An-Naziat · 5And those who govern the event,
- Surah An-Naziat · 6On the day when the first trump resoundeth.
- Surah An-Naziat · 7And the second followeth it,
- Surah An-Naziat · 8On that day hearts beat painfully
- Surah An-Naziat · 9While eyes are downcast
- Surah An-Naziat · 10(Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state
- Surah An-Naziat · 11Even after we are crumbled bones?
- Surah An-Naziat · 12They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding.
- Surah An-Naziat · 13Surely it will need but one shout,
- Surah An-Naziat · 14And lo! they will be awakened.
- Surah An-Naziat · 40But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust,
- Surah Abasa · 1He frowned and turned away
- Surah Abasa · 2Because the blind man came unto him.
- Surah Abasa · 3What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)
- Surah Abasa · 4Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him?
- Surah Abasa · 5As for him who thinketh himself independent,
- Surah Abasa · 6Unto him thou payest regard.
- Surah Abasa · 7Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace).
- Surah Abasa · 8But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose
- Surah Abasa · 9And hath fear,
- Surah Abasa · 10From him thou art distracted.
- Surah Abasa · 11Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment,
- Surah Abasa · 12So let whosoever will pay heed to it,
- Surah Abasa · 13On honoured leaves
- Surah Abasa · 14Exalted, purified,
- Surah Abasa · 24Let man consider his food:
- Surah At-Takwir · 1When the sun is overthrown,
- Surah At-Takwir · 2And when the stars fall,
- Surah At-Takwir · 3And when the hills are moved,
- Surah At-Takwir · 4And when the camels big with young are abandoned,
- Surah At-Takwir · 5And when the wild beasts are herded together,
- Surah At-Takwir · 6And when the seas rise,
- Surah At-Takwir · 7And when souls are reunited,
- Surah At-Takwir · 8And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked
- Surah At-Takwir · 9For what sin she was slain,
- Surah At-Takwir · 10And when the pages are laid open,
- Surah At-Takwir · 11And when the sky is torn away,
- Surah At-Takwir · 12And when hell is lighted,
- Surah At-Takwir · 13And when the Garden is brought nigh,
- Surah At-Takwir · 14(Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready.
- Surah At-Takwir · 26Whither then go ye?
- Surah Al-Infitar · 1When the heaven is cleft asunder,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 2When the planets are dispersed,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 3When the seas are poured forth,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 4And the sepulchres are overturned,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 5A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind.
- Surah Al-Infitar · 6O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 7Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee?
- Surah Al-Infitar · 8Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee.
- Surah Al-Infitar · 9Nay, but ye deny the Judgment.
- Surah Al-Infitar · 10Lo! there are above you guardians,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 11Generous and recording,
- Surah Al-Infitar · 12Who know (all) that ye do.
- Surah Al-Infitar · 13Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight.
- Surah Al-Infitar · 14And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell;
- Surah Al-Infitar · 15They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment,
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 1Woe unto the defrauders:
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 2Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full,
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 3But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss.
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 4Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 5Unto an Awful Day,
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 6The day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 7Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin -
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 8Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! -
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 9A written record.
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 10Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 11Those who deny the Day of Judgment
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 12Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor,
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 13Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old.
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 14Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts.
- Surah Al-Mutaffifin · 26Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss -
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 1When the heaven is split asunder
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 2And attentive to her Lord in fear,
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 3And when the earth is spread out
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 4And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 5And attentive to her Lord in fear!
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 6Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence).
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 7Then whoso is given his account in his right hand
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 8He truly will receive an easy reckoning
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 9And will return unto his folk in joy.
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 10But whoso is given his account behind his back,
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 11He surely will invoke destruction
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 12And be thrown to scorching fire.
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 13He verily lived joyous with his folk,
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 14He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah).
- Surah Al-Inshiqaq · 15Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him!
- Surah Al-Buruj · 1By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 2And by the Promised Day.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 3And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 4(Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch
- Surah Al-Buruj · 5Of the fuel-fed fire,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 6When they sat by it,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 7And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 8They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 9Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 10Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 11Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 12Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern.
- Surah Al-Buruj · 13Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 14And He is the Forgiving, the Loving,
- Surah Al-Buruj · 15Lord of the Throne of Glory,
- Surah At-Tariq · 1By the heaven and the Morning Star
- Surah At-Tariq · 2- Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is!
- Surah At-Tariq · 3- The piercing Star!
- Surah At-Tariq · 4No human soul but hath a guardian over it.
- Surah At-Tariq · 5So let man consider from what he is created.
- Surah At-Tariq · 6He is created from a gushing fluid
- Surah At-Tariq · 7That issued from between the loins and ribs.
- Surah At-Tariq · 8Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life)
- Surah At-Tariq · 9On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out.
- Surah At-Tariq · 10Then will he have no might nor any helper.
- Surah At-Tariq · 11By the heaven which giveth the returning rain,
- Surah At-Tariq · 12And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants)
- Surah At-Tariq · 13Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word,
- Surah At-Tariq · 14It is no pleasantry.
- Surah At-Tariq · 15Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad)
- Surah Al-Ala · 1Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High,
- Surah Al-Ala · 2Who createth, then disposeth;
- Surah Al-Ala · 3Who measureth, then guideth;
- Surah Al-Ala · 4Who bringeth forth the pasturage,
- Surah Al-Ala · 5Then turneth it to russet stubble.
- Surah Al-Ala · 6We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget
- Surah Al-Ala · 7Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden;
- Surah Al-Ala · 8And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease.
- Surah Al-Ala · 9Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder.
- Surah Al-Ala · 10He will heed who feareth,
- Surah Al-Ala · 11But the most hapless will flout it,
- Surah Al-Ala · 12He who will be flung to the great Fire
- Surah Al-Ala · 13Wherein he will neither die nor live.
- Surah Al-Ala · 14He is successful who groweth,
- Surah Al-Ala · 15And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 1Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming?
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 2On that day (many) faces will be downcast,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 3Toiling, weary,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 4Scorched by burning fire,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 5Drinking from a boiling spring,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 6No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 7Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger.
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 8In that day other faces will be calm,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 9Glad for their effort past,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 10In a high Garden
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 11Where they hear no idle speech,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 12Wherein is a gushing spring,
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 13Wherein are couches raised
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 14And goblets set at hand
- Surah Al-Ghashiyah · 17Will they not regard the camels, how they are created?
- Surah Al-Fajr · 1By the Dawn
- Surah Al-Fajr · 2And ten nights,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 3And the Even and the Odd,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 4And the night when it departeth,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 5There surely is an oath for thinking man.
- Surah Al-Fajr · 6Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) A'ad,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 7With many-columned Iram,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 8The like of which was not created in the lands;
- Surah Al-Fajr · 9And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley;
- Surah Al-Fajr · 10And with Pharaoh, firm of might,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 11Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands,
- Surah Al-Fajr · 12And multiplied iniquity therein?
- Surah Al-Fajr · 13Therefore thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment.
- Surah Al-Fajr · 14Lo! thy Lord is ever watchful.
- Surah Al-Fajr · 27But ah! thou soul at peace!
- Surah Al-Balad · 1Nay, I swear by this city -
- Surah Al-Balad · 2And thou art an indweller of this city -
- Surah Al-Balad · 3And the begetter and that which he begat,
- Surah Al-Balad · 4We verily have created man in an atmosphere:
- Surah Al-Balad · 5Thinketh he that none hath power over him?
- Surah Al-Balad · 6And he saith: I have destroyed vast wealth:
- Surah Al-Balad · 7Thinketh he that none beholdeth him?
- Surah Al-Balad · 8Did We not assign unto him two eyes
- Surah Al-Balad · 9And a tongue and two lips,
- Surah Al-Balad · 10And guide him to the parting of the mountain ways?
- Surah Al-Balad · 11But he hath not attempted the Ascent -
- Surah Al-Balad · 12Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! -
- Surah Al-Balad · 13(It is) to free a slave,
- Surah Al-Balad · 14And to feed in the day of hunger.
- Surah Al-Balad · 15An orphan near of kin,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 1By the sun and his brightness,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 2And the moon when she followeth him,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 3And the day when it revealeth him,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 4And the night when it enshroudeth him,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 5And the heaven and Him Who built it,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 6And the earth and Him Who spread it,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 7And a soul and Him Who perfected it
- Surah Ash-Shams · 8And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it.
- Surah Ash-Shams · 9He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 10And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it.
- Surah Ash-Shams · 11(The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride,
- Surah Ash-Shams · 12When the basest of them broke forth
- Surah Ash-Shams · 13And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink!
- Surah Ash-Shams · 14But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings).
- Surah Ash-Shams · 15He dreadeth not the sequel (of events).
- Surah Al-Layl · 1By the night enshrouding
- Surah Al-Layl · 2And the day resplendent
- Surah Al-Layl · 3And Him Who hath created male and female,
- Surah Al-Layl · 4Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends).
- Surah Al-Layl · 5As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah)
- Surah Al-Layl · 6And believeth in goodness;
- Surah Al-Layl · 7Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease.
- Surah Al-Layl · 8But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,
- Surah Al-Layl · 9And disbelieveth in goodness;
- Surah Al-Layl · 10Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.
- Surah Al-Layl · 11His riches will not save him when he perisheth.
- Surah Al-Layl · 12Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance
- Surah Al-Layl · 13And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.
- Surah Al-Layl · 14Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire
- Surah Al-Layl · 15Which only the most wretched must endure,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 1By the morning hours
- Surah Ad-Duha · 2And by the night when it is stillest,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 3Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 4And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 5And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.
- Surah Ad-Duha · 6Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)?
- Surah Ad-Duha · 7Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)?
- Surah Ad-Duha · 8Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)?
- Surah Ad-Duha · 9Therefor the orphan oppress not,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 10Therefor the beggar drive not away,
- Surah Ad-Duha · 11Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse.
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 1Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate,
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 2And eased thee of the burden
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 3Which weighed down thy back;
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 4And exalted thy fame?
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 5But lo! with hardship goeth ease,
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 6Lo! with hardship goeth ease.
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 7So when thou art relieved, still toil
- Surah Ash-Sharh · 8And strive to please thy Lord.
- Surah At-Tin · 1By the fig and the olive,
- Surah At-Tin · 2By Mount Sinai,
- Surah At-Tin · 3And by this land made safe;
- Surah At-Tin · 4Surely We created man of the best stature
- Surah At-Tin · 5Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low,
- Surah At-Tin · 6Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing.
- Surah At-Tin · 7So who henceforth will give the lie to thee about the judgment?
- Surah Al-Alaq · 1Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth,
- Surah Al-Alaq · 2Createth man from a clot.
- Surah Al-Alaq · 3Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous,
- Surah Al-Alaq · 4Who teacheth by the pen,
- Surah Al-Alaq · 5Teacheth man that which he knew not.
- Surah Al-Alaq · 6Nay, but verily man is rebellious
- Surah Al-Alaq · 7That he thinketh himself independent!
- Surah Al-Alaq · 8Lo! unto thy Lord is the return.
- Surah Al-Alaq · 9Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth
- Surah Al-Alaq · 10A slave when he prayeth?
- Surah Al-Alaq · 11Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah)
- Surah Al-Alaq · 12Or enjoineth piety?
- Surah Al-Alaq · 13Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward?
- Surah Al-Alaq · 14Is he then unaware that Allah seeth?
- Surah Al-Alaq · 15Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock -
- Surah Al-Qadr · 1Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.
- Surah Al-Qadr · 2Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!
- Surah Al-Qadr · 3The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
- Surah Al-Qadr · 4The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.
- Surah Al-Qadr · 5(The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 1Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off (erring) till the clear proof came unto them,
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 2A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 3Containing correct scriptures.
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 4Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them.
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 5And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him, as men by nature upright, and to establish worship and to pay the poor-due. That is true religion.
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 6Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings.
- Surah Al-Bayyinah · 7(And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings.
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 1When Earth is shaken with her (final) earthquake
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 2And Earth yieldeth up her burdens,
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 3And man saith: What aileth her?
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 4That day she will relate her chronicles,
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 5Because thy Lord inspireth her.
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 6That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds.
- Surah Az-Zalzalah · 7And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then,
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 1By the snorting courses,
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 2Striking sparks of fire
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 3And scouring to the raid at dawn,
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 4Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 5Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 6Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 7And lo! he is a witness unto that;
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 8And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 9Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth
- Surah Al-Adiyat · 10And the secrets of the breasts are made known,
- Surah Al-Qariah · 1The Calamity!
- Surah Al-Qariah · 2What is the Calamity?
- Surah Al-Qariah · 3Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is!
- Surah Al-Qariah · 4A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths
- Surah Al-Qariah · 5And the mountains will become as carded wool.
- Surah Al-Qariah · 6Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works),
- Surah Al-Qariah · 7He will live a pleasant life.
- Surah Al-Qariah · 8But as for him whose scales are light,
- Surah Al-Qariah · 9A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother,
- Surah Al-Qariah · 10Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! -
- Surah At-Takathur · 1Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you
- Surah At-Takathur · 2Until ye come to the graves.
- Surah At-Takathur · 3Nay, but ye will come to know!
- Surah At-Takathur · 4Nay, but ye will come to know!
- Surah At-Takathur · 5Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge!
- Surah At-Takathur · 6For ye will behold hell-fire.
- Surah At-Takathur · 7Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision.
- Surah Al-Asr · 1By the declining day,
- Surah Al-Asr · 2Lo! man is a state of loss,
- Surah Al-Asr · 3Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance.
- Surah Al-Humazah · 1Woe unto every slandering traducer,
- Surah Al-Humazah · 2Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it.
- Surah Al-Humazah · 3He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal.
- Surah Al-Humazah · 4Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One.
- Surah Al-Humazah · 5Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is!
- Surah Al-Humazah · 6(It is) the fire of Allah, kindled,
- Surah Al-Humazah · 7Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men).
- Surah Al-Humazah · 8Lo! it is closed in on them
- Surah Al-Fil · 1Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant?
- Surah Al-Fil · 2Did He not bring their stratagem to naught,
- Surah Al-Fil · 3And send against them swarms of flying creatures,
- Surah Al-Fil · 4Which pelted them with stones of baked clay,
- Surah Al-Fil · 5And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)?
- Surah Quraysh · 1For the taming of Qureysh.
- Surah Quraysh · 2For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.
- Surah Quraysh · 3So let them worship the Lord of this House,
- Surah Quraysh · 4Who hath fed them against hunger and hath made them safe from fear.
