Surah Al-Isra · Ayah 29

“And let not thy hand be chained to thy neck nor open it with a complete opening, lest thou sit down rebuked, denuded.”

“Make not thy hand tied (like a niggard's) to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach, so that thou become blameworthy and destitute.”

“And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend it completely and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.”

“তুমি একেবারে ব্যয়-কুষ্ঠ হয়োনা এবং একেবারে মুক্ত হস্তও হয়ো না। তাহলে তুমি তিরস্কৃতি, নিঃস্ব হয়ে বসে থাকবে।”

“اور اپنے ہاتھ کو نہ تو گردن سے بندھا ہوا (یعنی بہت تنگ) کرلو (کہ کسی کچھ دو ہی نہیں) اور نہ بالکل کھول ہی دو (کہ سبھی دے ڈالو اور انجام یہ ہو) کہ ملامت زدہ اور درماندہ ہو کر بیٹھ جاؤ”
