Surah Al-Baqarah · Ayah 34

“And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever.”

“And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.”

“And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.”

“এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল।”

“اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آدم کے آگے سجدہ کرو تو وہ سجدے میں گر پڑے مگر شیطان نے انکار کیا اور غرور میں آکر کافر بن گیا”
