Today’s verse
Surah Al-Anbiya · Ayah 17
makki
لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ
“If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence - if We ever did.”
“If it had been Our wish to take (just) a pastime, We should surely have taken it from the things nearest to Us, if We would do (such a thing)!”
“Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.”
“আমি যদি ক্রীড়া উপকরণ সৃষ্টি করতে চাইতাম, তবে আমি আমার কাছে যা আছে তা দ্বারাই তা করতাম, যদি আমাকে করতে হত।”
“اگر ہم چاہتے کہ کھیل (کی چیزیں یعنی زن وفرزند) بنائیں تو اگر ہم کو کرنا ہوتا تو ہم اپنے پاس سے بنالیتے”
