Surah Aal ʿImran · Ayah 142

“Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast?”

“Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?”

“Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?”

“তোমাদের কি ধারণা, তোমরা জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে? অথচ আল্লাহ এখনও দেখেননি তোমাদের মধ্যে কারা জেহাদ করেছে এবং কারা ধৈর্য্যশীল।”

“کیا تم یہ سمجھتے ہو کہ (بےآزمائش) بہشت میں جا داخل ہو گے حالانکہ ابھی خدا نے تم میں سے جہاد کرنے والوں کو تو اچھی طرح معلوم کیا ہی نہیں اور (یہ بھی مقصود ہے) کہ وہ ثابت قدم رہنے والوں کو معلوم کرے”
