Surah Aal ʿImran · Ayah 145

“No soul can ever die except by Allah's leave and at a term appointed. Whoso desireth the reward of the world, We bestow on him thereof; and whoso desireth the reward of the Hereafter, We bestow on him thereof. We shall reward the thankful.”

“Nor can a soul die except by Allah's leave, the term being fixed as by writing. If any do desire a reward in this life, We shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the Hereafter, We shall give it to him. And swiftly shall We reward those that (serve us with) gratitude.”

“And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world - We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter - We will give him thereof. And we will reward the grateful.”

“আর আল্লাহর হুকুম ছাড়া কেউ মরতে পারে না-সেজন্য একটা সময় নির্ধারিত রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ যে লোক দুনিয়ায় বিনিময় কামনা করবে, আমি তাকে তা দুনিয়াতেই দান করব। পক্ষান্তরে-যে লোক আখেরাতে বিনিময় কামনা করবে, তা থেকে আমি তাকে তাই দেবো। আর যারা কৃতজ্ঞ তাদেরকে আমি প্রতিদান দেবো”

“اور کسی شخص میں طاقت نہیں کہ خدا کے حکم کے بغیر مر جائے (اس نے موت کا) وقت مقرر کر کے لکھ رکھا ہے اور جو شخص دنیا میں (اپنے اعمال کا) بدلہ چاہے اس کو ہم یہیں بدلہ دے دیں گے اور جو آخرت میں طالبِ ثواب ہو اس کو وہاں اجر عطا کریں گے اور ہم شکر گزاروں کو عنقریب (بہت اچھا) صلہ دیں گے”
