Surah Luqman · Ayah 32

“And if a wave enshroudeth them like awnings, they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only. But when He bringeth them safe to land, some of them compromise. None denieth Our signs save every traitor ingrate.”

“When a wave covers them like the canopy (of clouds), they call to Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. But when He has delivered them safely to land, there are among them those that halt between (right and wrong). But none reject Our Signs except only a perfidious ungrateful (wretch)!”

“And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful.”

“যখন তাদেরকে মেঘমালা সদৃশ তরংগ আচ্ছাদিত করে নেয়, তখন তারা খাঁটি মনে আল্লাহকে ডাকতে থাকে। অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাদেরকে স্থলভাগের দিকে উদ্ধার করে আনেন, তখন তাদের কেউ কেউ সরল পথে চলে। কেবল মিথ্যাচারী, অকৃতজ্ঞ ব্যক্তিই আমার নিদর্শনাবলী অস্বীকার করে।”

“اور جب اُن پر (دریا کی) لہریں سائبانوں کی طرح چھا جاتی ہیں تو خدا کو پکارنے (اور) خالص اس کی عبادت کرنے لگتے ہیں پھر جب وہ اُن کو نجات دے کر خشکی پر پہنچا دیتا ہے تو بعض ہی انصاف پر قائم رہتے ہیں۔ اور ہماری نشانیوں سے وہی انکار کرتے ہیں جو عہد شکن اور ناشکرے ہیں”
