Surah Ghafir · Ayah 85

“But their faith could not avail them when they saw Our doom. This is Allah's law which hath ever taken course for His bondmen. And then the disbelievers will be ruined.”

“But their professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them. (Such has been) Allah's Way of dealing with His Servants (from the most ancient times). And even thus did the Rejecters of Allah perish (utterly)!”

“But never did their faith benefit them once they saw Our punishment. [It is] the established way of Allah which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [all].”

“অতঃপর তাদের এ ঈমান তাদের কোন উপকারে আসল না যখন তারা শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করল। আল্লাহর এ নিয়মই পূর্ব থেকে তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে প্রচলিত হয়েছে। সেক্ষেত্রে কাফেররা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।”

“لیکن جب وہ ہمارا عذاب دیکھ چکے (اس وقت) ان کے ایمان نے ان کو کچھ بھی فائدہ نہ دیا۔ (یہ) خدا کی عادت (ہے) جو اس کے بندوں (کے بارے) میں چلی آتی ہے۔ اور وہاں کافر گھاٹے میں پڑ گئے”
