Surah Al-Maidah · Ayah 108

“Thus it is more likely that they will bear true witness or fear that after their oaths the oaths (of others) will be taken. So be mindful of your duty (to Allah) and hearken. Allah guideth not the froward folk.”

“That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear Allah, and listen (to His counsel): for Allah guideth not a rebellious people:”

“That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.”

“এটি এ বিষয়ের নিকটতম উপায় যে, তারা ঘটনাকে সঠিকভাবে প্রকাশ করবে অথবা আশঙ্কা করবে যে, তাদের কাছ থেকে কসম নেয়ার পর আবার কসম চাওয়া হবে। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং শুন, আল্লাহ দুরাচারীদেরকে পথ-প্রদর্শন করবেন না।”

“اس طریق سے بہت قریب ہے کہ یہ لوگ صحیح صحیح شہادت دیں یا اس بات سے خوف کریں کہ (ہماری) قسمیں ان کی قسموں کے بعد رد کر دی جائیں گی اور خدا سے ڈرو اور اس کے حکموں کو (گوشِ ہوش سے) سنو اور خدا نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا”
