Surah Aal ʿImran · Ayah 140

“If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers.”

“If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong.”

“If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -”

“তোমরা যদি আহত হয়ে থাক, তবে তারাও তো তেমনি আহত হয়েছে। আর এ দিনগুলোকে আমি মানুষের মধ্যে পালাক্রমে আবর্তন ঘটিয়ে থাকি। এভাবে আল্লাহ জানতে চান কারা ঈমানদার আর তিনি তোমাদের কিছু লোককে শহীদ হিসাবে গ্রহণ করতে চান। আর আল্লাহ অত্যাচারীদেরকে ভালবাসেন না।”

“اگر تمہیں زخم (شکست) لگا ہے تو ان لوگوں کو بھی ایسا زخم لگ چکا ہے اور یہ دن ہیں کہ ہم ان کو لوگوں میں بدلتے رہتے ہیں اور اس سے یہ بھی مقصود تھا کہ خدا ایمان والوں کو متمیز کر دے اور تم میں سے گواہ بنائے اور خدا بےانصافوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا”
