Today’s verse
Surah Az-Zukhruf · Ayah 31
makki
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنَ ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
“And they say: If only this Qur'an had been revealed to some great man of the two towns?”
“Also, they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some leading man in either of the two (chief) cities?"”
“And they said, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"”
“তারা বলে, কোরআন কেন দুই জনপদের কোন প্রধান ব্যক্তির উপর অবতীর্ণ হল না?”
“اور (یہ بھی) کہنے لگے کہ یہ قرآن ان دونوں بستیوں (یعنی مکّے اور طائف) میں سے کسی بڑے آدمی پر کیوں نازل نہ کیا گیا؟”
